Che, please do not make me laugh.

Actually, China's actions in sending troops to the Sudan to supress locals and its supression of the Tibetans (together with its policy of re-populating that nation with Chinese) combined with its constant build up of its forces alarms me.

The Chinese govt is pretty good at faking surprise. They have all sorts of restricitons on foreign ownership of their assests and have been manipulating their currency to build up massive foreign resrves for years. Now they actually demand the right to use those reserves to own the few productive enterprises we have left, and to puah down the price of our commodities.

What surprises me is that KRudd actually understands that China is a threat to Australia and the Asia/Pacific region. I am not convinced he will actually take the appropriate action, but I wait to be surprised on this.
