Did Rudd claim Treasury or the Department of Finance costed the Coalitions policies, or did he just use their figures to compare with the Coalitions costings?
From the few media reports I have read, there was never a claim that the Coalitions policies had ever been costed by Treasury or the Department of Finance.
If you have a link that shows Rudd has claimed that the Treasury or the Department of Finance costed the Coalition policies, can you please post.
From the article below, it looks like just the normal misleading wording that tries to give the impression of authority to the claim, as opposed to actually saying that the Treasury or the Department of Finance costed the Coalition policies. (Still dishonest\deceptive.)

"Treasury, Department of Finance and Deregulation and Parliamentary Budget Office figures released this morning have exposed a $10 billion hole in the savings claimed by the Coalition yesterday," a government press release stated.
