And as you can see there was a large jump in numbers after the Malaysia deal was scuttled.
Arrivals 2010-11 prior to the Malaysia deal, 4,940 (average 95 per week).
Arrivals 2011-12 after the Malaysia deal, 7,983 (average 154 per week).
Arrivals 2012-13 after the Malaysia deal, 25,173 (average 484 per week).

duty, check the above statistics, (not sure where you got 700 a week).
The question still stands unanswered.
If Abbott hadn't of opposed the Malaysian deal, how many of those 700 deaths that followed, could have been avoidable?
