The Australian Government will introduce a resource super profits tax (RSPT) on 1 July 2012. It will replace crude oil excise in parallel with State royalties. Taxpayers currently subject to Petroleum Resource Rent Tax will have the option of electing into the RSPT.

Why do they make these dates so far in the future to introduce them? So they won't be held to task over it,before election, and will get votes.



Sorry misty, after 2 ODD years of Rudd and Swan who have no integrity what so ever, I would not believe anything they had a hand in. Bit like Global Warming,OOPS! sorry Climate change.

Rudd is the little boy who cried wolf, who grew up to be the EMPEROR with no clothes.
