Indeed CAS own the mineral rights to the Espinharas deposit.( check out their Annual Report...it is on the list and was one of the 'big' tenements on their listing originally)
As i'm sure you know under current Brazilian Law they DO NOT own rights to the Uranium though.
The law does seem to be in 'change' mode but this may still take some time, possibly years.
As per my recent post though, you are allowed to JV with the INR (Brazilian Nuclear / Atomic body) and this is within the current law. I understand they are working this angle very hard and that we will soon have news.
The Brazilian govt has very pubicly announced that they want to get more U out of the ground and indeed export to India et al.
As the previous / later poster mentioned the CAS crew are going at this VERY quietly so as not to disturb anyone / anything.
There are guys who read the CAS thread who know MUCH more than me...but don't want to go public, just like CAS at the moment.
IF CAS get the JV through then I think we will see a very significant shift in the SP. Whilst I have been playing it down recently saying the SP may get to $5 it is really a rather conservative estimate.
The thing you have to understand is this; Espinharas could be 'roughly' the same as Langer Heinrich (PDN)...PDN market Cap $4,000,000,000 ($4Billion).
This may sound like a pipe dream and perhaps this is where Kipling needs to smack me around the chops...but there are people out there who read these posts, who know that this is possible.
