This is the question here.
It could go either way.
You could argue folau willingly signed his rights away for the period of the contract and has been appropriately compensated for it.
Ultimately it comes down to brand image and money.
As pointed out earlier, sport was much better when we were fans, not a customer base.
The players need to bear some responsibility for this as well.
They profit from sideline deals associated from the game just as the associations do.
