Banks will always operate with a degree of bastardness. They are not manufacturers or producers and only way for them to profit and survive is to lend money to those who do that . I on average get a couple of offers for cash or doubling up the credit card each week that goes straight in to the bin.
But it’s the Government or the law makers who are responsible for the strife perpetrated on unsuspecting clients. ASX with a motto to make profits and doing it with the number of trades cannot be blamed either. But the laws that allow the regulator to profit from number of trades rather than a fair service to the customer, margins on stocks and margin lending on 'subprime' stocks should be changed.
