    HAve a look at this.

    If there was any doubt the trough is luxurious.  Below from Parliamentary Website after a lot of digging.

    On 7 August 2014, the Remuneration Tribunal made Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2014/16: Members of Parliament – Travelling Allowance (Determination 2014/16), a new determination that replaced in full Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2013/17: Members of Parliament – Travelling Allowance (Determination 2013/17).  A link to Determination 2014/16 is available on the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services website.
    Determination 2014/16 updated the rates of domestic travelling allowance (TA) for Senators, Members and specified office holders and is effective from 31 August 2014.  A copy of the revised TA rates is available on the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services website.
    The principal changes between Determination 2013/17 and Determination 2014/16 include:
    • the Canberra TA rate increases from $268 to $271 per overnight stay;
    • the daily expense allowance, payable to a Senator or Member from the Australian Capital Territory or representing an electorate adjacent to the Australian Capital Territory, and whose principal place of residence is within a 30km radius of Parliament House, increases from $84 to $85 per day; and
    • the meals and incidentals allowance payable to Ministers in exceptional circumstances has increased from $167 to $170 per day; and
    Updated versions of the Parliamentarian’s Travel Declaration (Form 4), which reflect the changes contained in Determination 2014/16, and the Travelling and/or Motor Vehicle Allowance Claim (Form 54), are available on the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services website.
    Should you require any further information regarding your TA entitlements, please contact your Ministerial and Parliamentary Services’ Entitlements Manager.

    Signed by the Minister on 2 September 2014
