Australia needs to change its rules as to when companies announce announcements so to protect investors from investing in the wrong companies.
The most common example is an announcement when a company says it has done a placement of so much $$$$$ to sophisticated investors and not disclosing WHO THOSE SOPHISTICATED INVESTORS ARE, if you do not have anything to hide, you should disclose who the party is that purchased those shares, a company could make up that made a placement to sophisticated investors and the real thing that could be doing is just issue more shares and spend that money on itself [directors] without any existent sophisticated investors.
I have seen this announced several times and as a shareholder you are still in limbo as to what the company is doing.
I welcome any [good or bad] replies and hope that most of you have dialed that number that I posted earlier on today.
