At present, 63 police officers and 53 police staff are suspended without pay after failing to follow the Commissioner’s direction to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Since December 19, 100 police officers and 71 support staff had been suspended on vaccine-related matters.
“More than 96.5 per cent of QPS employees are fully vaccinated, with 73 per cent also having
recorded receiving their booster vaccine,” a police spokeswoman said.“The remaining cohort of employees include officers and staff with exemptions, on long-term leave, medical leave and other circumstances where they are not in the workplace.”
