This story worth a bit of a read from February 2022, be interesting to see what senior stall got exemptions to the covid shot.

Overall this is why our police, nurses and ambos are all understaffed at present.

The Queensland Police Service employs about 17,200 people and its staff had to have their second vaccine dose by December 17 last year, and their booster no more than a month after eligibility.

At present, 63 police officers and 53 police staff are suspended without pay after failing to follow the Commissioner’s direction to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Since December 19, 100 police officers and 71 support staff had been suspended on vaccine-related matters.

“More than 96.5 per cent of QPS employees are fully vaccinated, with 73 per cent also having
recorded receiving their booster vaccine,” a police spokeswoman said.

“The remaining cohort of employees include officers and staff with exemptions, on long-term leave, medical leave and other circumstances where they are not in the workplace.”
