Sure SS,
You can borrow heavily and then do all your development work with the borrowed money - not from operational cash flow - or do the opposite. FML have expended a lot of development as they go - fact. So it is in the total costs up front. When it is development / mining on strike drive or pre-strip / early low grade in top of the pit ore - it goes direct into cash cost.
Of course RSG who you like, and have done an excellent job, had to pay back the $100M +, over a year at the end of their journey towards success. This equated to around $300 per ounce over 1 year. This was not on the cash cost - rightly but just a difference of how they did it. Syama was hugely cash flow negative for a long time and now a problem in Mali with a coup - sovereign risk issue.
The interest payments were not factored into cash costs either but is a real cost to the business. I hope that covers it for you SS.
Now back to work - oh and a quick translation of the head post is: there is some unsubstantiated BS flying around which is not true. Operations are set to continue to transition and lower cash costs = robust margins increasing over time.
**************
I have been misconstrued somewhat in providing a heads up to some in the past let me clarify...
The other point without being threatening at all - promise - is that making 'false and misleading' statements about a company is a crime under the Corporations Act.
About them ...or by them - it is still a crime and unfortunately ignorance is not a valid defense. This is why I bring it up - not because I am threatening action to anybody in here - not my intent at all - but you should know what might / could come back to bite you and this is just a heads up.
The other related issue: Under Australian law it is also 'a crime to fail to report a crime' if you know it is happening or happened - if you got any kind of benefit. In NSW you don't even have to gain a benefit.
All this got tightened up after 2008. If any of you want to commit such a crime go ahead I don't care. I see some moderated posts below. This is not my problem but I assure you FML will be fully aware of the law and keep within the law themselves to preserve their lives in good order.
They are building a large mining house.
All IMO,

PS have to get back to work this is about all I can spare today.
