Because you get a years worth for $150 instead of $220 or whatever a years worth of premium is. Netflix get huge cash up front, Afterpay get a good chunk of a billion dollar industry. Then we potentially have leverage against people repaying their account or they lose their streaming service. Could work if the right deals were signed. Anyway, it was a joke.
