The following is an exact extract from a document that has done the rounds in Botswana and social media referencing some of the behaviour by former Minister of Minerals. I am comfortable sharing this now because I have received it from multiple sources across reasonably recent weeks and since then he has been front page news having been raided at home in search of unexplained wealth.

BPC Power Purchase Agreements
Moagi found another cash cow at BPC where mostly Chinese companies wanted solar projects and wanted an assurance from BPC that upon completing solar stations, BPC will buy electricity from them. The Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) were meant to have those Chinese companies accessing finance from Chinese government to finance the projects. Moagi benefitted millions of pula in kickbacks and ensured that those PPAs are signed and that he officiates such signs, none of those projects have been completed to date. Some Chinese companies even went to the extent of installing very expensive solar systems at his farm in Sandveldt which was once visited for investigation by DIS but report shelved by DIS DG. The recent blunder was award of Mmamamabule Coal Power Station to Jindal (PTY) Ltd who were awarded ahead of Minergy Mine who were already mining coal unlike Jindal which neither mined coal nor had mining licence. Moagi scored P15 million as kickback/ inducement.
