Following was published back in May - investment thesis remains intact IMO and recently disclosed SQM quarterly pricing would suggest  demand for Lithium continues to strengthen

Short sellers tend to build exposure when there is proof that their strategy is working. Problem being, they get more bearish as prices decline, when actually they should become less bearish. This is why short sold volume almost always peaks at low prices prior to turning points.  

My guess is we are looking at a turning point at this very moment. Technically the short term downtrend may break at any time, fundamentally the balance sheet is strong and announcements like today highlight the potential nightmare scenario for the shorts.
