There is indeed a distinct difference between producing LC and spod. But don't confuse LC with LCE.

LCE is an industry standard measure of attempting to analyse the lithium supply/demand market.

For the purposes of the supply/demand market
* A DSO operation has their output converted to LCE .
* A spod concentrate operation has their production converted to LCE
* A LiCO operation's production is reported as LCE
* A LiOH operation's production is converted to LCE
