Well, it seems everyone has formed an opinion based on a news release where the source is COP/WPL....
I don't trust that release is the complete story.
a week ago there was a story that some bright spark had worked out how to convert carbon dioxide into ethanol. I didn't publish that article on HC as there weren't enough details yet the author was pushing it as a saviour for global warming. This week additional information comes out stating it takes twice as much energy to create ethanol than the energy released burning it in your car. still an important discovery but changes things dramatically.
I don't trust this news release as the complete picture. I will wait until Monday where hopefully it will all become clearer.
