Morris Corp provides a broad range of catering, cleaning and maintenance services to remote mining camps. It is understood to be worth around $150 million.

Sources said interest was largely from offshore, with Danish outsourcing giant ISS, which provides everything from reception assistants and airconditioning technicians in banks to cooks in mining camps, a logical acquirer given it runs a similar style of business. London-listed Compass Group, which has an extensive Australian business already, is also running the ruler.
It's harder to see Spotless Group entering the fray, despite Morris being a good fit. Shares in the cleaning and catering firm have fallen 12 per cent from $1.085 at June 30 to 95.75¢ on Monday.
