Why would Lynas build a plant in the US when there is no magnet making facility there? Well they set one up in Malaysia and there isn't a magnet maker there either, but that didn't stop them. The product goes to Japan, China, Vietnam to be made into magnets etc. The US wants the processing to happen on their soil and they're willing to pay for it, as long as someone buys the product, it doesn't matter where it's shipped to and made into magnets.
