csg is a lower end carbon producing process so they may be able to claim credits for using the gas altho they may have to capture the co2 and force it back underground - a process known as geosequestration or the alternative is to plant trees.

to me its just another way for the larger end of town to make money as you can buy or sell them to your advantage. i dont think it has anything to do with the "greenhouse effect"
i am currently talking to a company that are looking to china and they can claim the carbon credits to the tune of sevearl million
