So you could also ask why do right wing commentators run from being identified as such. I have noticed many contributors here have no idea about what the terms really mean.They see things as too black and white and generally anyone who agrees with them is to the right and "a goodie" and anyone who does not agree with their world views is to the left and "a baddie".
