I have serious doubts Jadar will ever get off the drawing board. Lithium pricing going gangbusters and they have not flinched or moved on getting it fast tracked to production. 3 years ago at $350 - $400/t LCE and now it is commanding more than double that. RIO stuck in the mud(clay). Surely they would be rushing into production to gain best possible short term pricing. But they are not.
Chinese have a solid grasp on Manono so highly unlikely that RIO will be a player. Chinese only have to cancel train line/ roadworks/ electricity to massively increase costs on the project.
The Chinese government is fully assisting Africa including DRC, so certain niceties between governments exist, which will keep it within reach of any Chinese company wishing to buy AVZ
