There are a lot of angst about drilling communication, but let's look at the comm options that management has:
1. Advise shareholders of drilling delay due to unforeseen circumstances ie weather etc. and expected drilling will start in late Jan/early Feb.
This may seems to be the best option, but what if there is further delay? Management will look incompetent and lost credibility totally if the new timeline is not met for the third time, which potentially can send the sp back to the teen. From my perspective, not the best option.
2. Advise shareholders that drill rigs are being mobilized and will update the market once the drilling commences.
This option may satisfy a few nervous holders, but market as a whole could consider this as amateurish and negatively affect management credibility. This is also not a good option and can send the sp further south.
3. Do nothing, and will communicate only once drilling starts.
This, is probably the best options. The SP will drift lower, but the pace will be slower compared to option 1 and 2. Obvioysly, Management is using this option and utilises ML to calm a few nervous holders via tweet.
