Management Profile
Klaus Eckhof, Executive Chairman. Geologist with over 20 years of experience identifying, exploring and developing mineral deposits around the world. In late 2003, Mr Eckhof founded Moto Goldmines which acquired the Moto Gold Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There, Mr Eckhof and his team delineated more than 20 million ounces of gold and delivered a feasibility study within four years from the commencement of exploration. Moto Goldmines was subsequently acquired by Randgold Resources who poured first gold in September 2013. Mr Eckhof is also a director of Burey Gold Ltd, and Carnavale Resources Ltd.
Nigel Ferguson, Managing Director. Geologist with over 30 years of experience in exploration, resource definition & feasibility studies. He has held senior management positions for the past 18 years, working in such locations as Saudi Arabia, South East Asia, South and Central America with a focus on Africa. Mr. Ferguson was instrumental in the assessment and acquisition of the now multi-million ounce Geita Gold Project. He has been active in the DRC since 2004 in gold and base metals exploration and resource development.
What is your rationale for attending 121 Mining Investment?
To allow further exposure of the asset to the international market
What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
We will be highlighting the drilling results to date from the initial 7 drill holes and any updated information from the current drilling program available at the time of the conference.
What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?
3 Months:
Commence and complete initial resource drilling and announce a resource to the market
6 Months:
Complete additional resource drilling and met testwork and announce these to the market
12 Months:
Complete all resource drilling, initial pre feasibility studies and planning.
What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
Operating in the DRC provides many challenges. We mitigate these by having a joint venture partner well versed in navigating any issues that arise in the DRC and by employing local staff wherever possible to reduce the expatriate footprint.
In a sentence, what do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?
The largest, untapped lithium resource in the world at the cusp of being drilled out for initial JORC resources
