Your bringing in another topic which is arguable not relevant or measurable in Australia. in China, its about health and breathing, lifestyle and nothing to do with emissions really. Think about it. the emissions will be relocated and generation will still be a lot by base load which in many countries will be still coal, hydro etc china is building many more coal stations and India will be the same. they are just cleaner than old ones. Sure they are building turbines and solar too. But i think like some places in Europe are now finding, that their power is far too expensive. then we hear that solar now is cheaper than coal. heard it all. But you can stick your solar where the sun don't shine and its just a warm fussy feeling they say. those English friends of mine with solar have a roof with snow on them. i just share with them to keep the lights, cooking etc off and they wont need power. We are the dummies in Australia who cant think viable and secure our future and ensure base load survival at a realistic price, nor gas somehow not becoming a priority for Australian householder, business and industry. We possibly don't get things right very often, but thanks to red tape, we are certainly very much a lucky and livable nation. .

the greens contain no value and if you shook them upside down then maybe you would confirm that.
there will be many places in Australia it will not serve for many years, but i do believe tech will surmount all challenges somehow. Some of these 200,000 acres farms down the road from here are possibly not thinking EV for awhile. I need 600 km range thats actual and not by some irrelevant test standard and im waiting. i will not buy another ICE again for regular transport.
