I agree but we lack the capital to compete with China, the US and Germany. Would love to see gigafactories here pumping out batteries but we struggle to raise big money for big projects and it's all about scale unfortunately.
Government don't have the pockets or foresight to assist with much more than basic infrastructure. Would realistically take one of our giants... BHP or a bank to back such a project and they aren't doing anything risky anytime soon.
Would love to be proven wrong by Australia one day.
