Thanks for posting this @8horse and thanks to @ywolf for posting the screenshot below, which was taken just before the auction cleared.

What I thought was interesting (apologies if this was already raised) is that the buyer got 34.1 million shares at 30c per share so a total cost of $10.2 million -> very sub-optimal.

For instance, you can check using the screenshot below that if buyer had submitted one large bid at 28.5c the buyer would have gotten 30 million shares at a total cost of $8.55 million. In other words, to get an additional 4 million shares (going from 30 to 34 million) the buyer paid an extra $1.65 million, which is more than 41c per share. Surely, on Monday the buyer could have gotten those shares cheaper.


Irrespective of whether this occurred so AVZ could be added to RMEX or ASXrdinaries, the buyer seems to have paid a substantial premium. That might support an alternative theory for why it had to be 30c ....
