head scratchier indeed given its expansion plans in the next 3 to 5 years and cathode manufactures meeting the exponential growth in EV.

So if CATL can control who receives the lithium supply can effectively control the cathode pricing in the supply chain and be far more competitive in pricing for supplying the car manufactures.
so many win win situations for CATL ,this is why IMO 50c will be the starting price as the strategic value of this quality tier 1 asset cannot be lost to outside China,. Glencore / in the back ground.

Would not be surprised if a group secures Manono rather than just 2 majors at a realistic price well above 50c TO $1.
giving great control and security over the supply chain.
