Yeah that's what I do too, I try and find a middle ground and rule out things that I personally don't consider a big risk or a big plus.
People come up with all kinds of ideas in different frames of mind too - if the price is going down - people start considering why. And they come up with those ideas which are sometimes right or wrong, or they might not have thought of when the price was not going down.
It's not some kind of accusation to say to someone "You wouldn't say that if the price wasn't going down" well yeah. It's true, we are in a different frame of mind. Psychology of traders is a huge subject just for this reason.
It doesn't mean that what they are saying is WRONG. It still bears consideration.
People here are like voters - if they are being told they get free stuff they cheer.
If they are told "We should be responsible about spending" they don't cheer.
It's that simple. Just ignore them. I am glad they have an ignore function here.
