They were almost bankrupt at the time with enormous debt from building the Li converter in China and actually sold GMM 100% conditionally then pulled it back to 50% when they got a whiff of what Michael Fotios had lined up with his revised geology etc. GMM price too had a bashing after that, a real roller coaster.
Point is that GXY is a very different storey to AVZ. Basically as the Li price rose the restructured GXY took a punt to restart/upgrade an existing plant in Mount Catllin, sort of a no brainer really. The AVZ storey book is pretty much only at chapter 1 and the plot is starting to emerge and is sure to be a best seller!! (IMO DYOR)
