i would check some examples and also discuss with another accountant. read up on it. It doesn't sound right to me. i don't understand why traders feel they have a greater advantage by paying all profits income tax and not getting the 50% reduction for any longer over 12 month holds. i have heard it from many and i remain unconvinced. i cant get any extra tax deductions than I would already have. Maybe its some sort of badge to wear with honor?
i always try to plan my tax issues and this comes before lifestyle and spoils, as you can enjoy life much better with some planning, than you can with a $100,000 extra tax payment.
