Thank you for your response. But isn't that the same result I would achieve if I wasn't classified as a trader? My shorter less that 12 months trades would be taxable income. Doesn't a traders over 12 months holdings become taxable without the cgt discount? Indeed your example would be very fortunate profit wise. But say you achieved those results but also held 5 million shares in pls for 4 years, would you then achieve a 50 % discount?
