Interesting! Don't know how the aftermarket auction works exactly but for no apparent reason 1.1million shares changed hands over 85trades at a 2.5% discount to the last trade on-market, whereas all day it took 1450 trades and 1.5million shares traded for the market to fall the initial 2.5% (figures rounded for simplicity.) Does that look dodgy or am I missing something? 2.5% is not a small discount if you're selling large volume of shares! Is there an underlying reason for this effect in the media that I have missed? Perhaps the more learned folk on HC can enrich our knowledge . I certainly am not experienced/educated in the ways of Mr Market so looking for some help in trying to understand this phenomenon.
Been a holder for a couple of years now and just when I thought I was breaking even today happens as described. Will hold and accumulate into the future as I believe that COVID will eventually give us a boost as Vaccinations come on line in Australia.
