Think it will take a class action against ASIC to be honest. That or political will.

Tried to get a movement happening think a year or two ago. That fizzled fast and HC is the premier share site for the ASX. Royal Commission is the go or specific legislative change to ban HFT or at least contain it. One poster suggested just adding an extra decimal point to SP would cure the problem and I think they were right.

There are easy mechanisms that can be imposed but no one is doing anything about it. The introduction of Chi-X was a clear and contemptuous slap in the face to all retailers. The allowance of a privately owned bourse designed to kill market transparency should have been enough to cause a riot. It didn't.

Being it's Oz...put up your feet, crack open a coldie and hit the on button...sad advice isn't it?
