Could just be a conspiracy, but what if AVZ set this SPP up to assist the deal as it's pretty obvious the SP would tank and its JV partners could then buy its % back on the market through holding AVZ shares.

Potentially a back door deal was granted where Cominiere & Dathomir agreed they will give up 5% each, if AVZ created a situation where the market would dump into their hands for a cheap price.

The money Comineire & Dathomir will get for the 10% sale can be used in order to get a decent AVZ holdings, therefore not sacrificing much of its stake - but at the same time making AVZ a more attractive investment to fund.

This scheme could be advantageous for AVZ and its JV partners, because potential suitors may have been holding back due to the 60% interest in Manono. Once AVZ holds 70% they would likely have stronger negotiating power & better success.

I have a feeling we will recieve news either just before or just after the SPP is finalised, where AVZ successfully aquires a further 10% of the resource, making 70% ownership.

And about 1-5 days later we will recieve the 5-10 mtpa scoping study with the inclusion of 70% ownership.

If, and i mean IF this happens, those that chose to partake and support AVZ, may end up happy with their decision.
