Great news for PLL holders. Their production timing should work well with short supply and price increase, as will AVZ.
"We will simultaneously be advancing our plans to produce lithium hydroxide in North Carolina, using a combination of internally produced spodumene concentrate as well as material sourced from other producers around the world."
Are PLL suggesting that their product quality won't be high enough for hydroxide?
And where in the world is that additional hard rock material going to be coming from?
This adds more questions to Tesla suggesting their clay deposit can produce hydroxide quality lithium for their batteries, when Tesla does an offtake with a hard rock deposit whos quality still isn't high enough for hydroxide...
Maybe Tesla have figured it out but a 5yr minimum offtake agreement with a hard rock player suggests it won't be anytime soon. Not only that but high quality looks very hard to come by in a growing market.
