I don't see an issue with that because:
Nigel is AVZ MD. He is supposed to be conservative in his forward looking statements. Under promise and over deliver otherwise every nuance of every statement will be pedantically picked through (ring any bells?) He gives a timeline of a few years to cover any issues, but will look good if the road is finished earlier.
ML is a consultant whose job is to market AVZ across the globe. He has high level contacts in China, quite likely including people connected to the CAIG who are building the road (at no expense to AVZ). If he is hearing from them a timeline of two years, then he is relaying that.
So, two different times from two different people, both of whom would no doubt believe what they say. Again, I don't see an issue with that. The road will be built, the mine will be built and we will make money. All in a couple or a few years.
