They are commonly called Bots mate.... trades made by High Frequency Traders (computer programs) based on algorithims to either run the price down "to buy more" or "run it up" to sell, without tanking it either way..... but, that is my opinion as a layman builder, not a trader, Im sure others could be more precise in their explanation.
