China cannot push their weight around in the next decade when it comes to buying lithium. Yeah sure, put restrictions on something unimportant like lobster, but see how they they haven't put any restriction on our Iron Ore exports (they take over 80% of what we produce) - they just can't live without it. Funnily enough, they can live without lobster and wine for a while. They do not have the adequate raw materials in their own country to make batteries and they have bet hard on their future as being the world leader for battery manufacturing. Demand is already starting to outstrip supply - it's a sellers market and the DRC government are not going to let their riches go for cheap.
