Desperate or what for lithium,

major car manufacturers bmw and now Volkswagen and basf and Daimler JVing to setup studies and action plans for "Responsible Lithium Partnership" sustainability partnership to fix the unsustainable production of lithium brine production in South America...so the OEMs VW BMW Daimler etc.,,can say that they are using lithium that has been sourced and produced sustainably

Good luck to that, can't get blood out of stone, there's hardly any water in the Atacama Desert everything is living on the edge..the farmers the environment the flamingo the indigenous and now the thirsty water-intensive lithium brine miners

the UNsustainable practices lithium brine production in South America has been an ongoing contentious issue for more than a decade, if not more like the last 20 years.... now it's a problem for the OEMs due to problems reaching ESG and OECD guidelines
