There are stacks of threads, AVZ included, on Hot Copper with people complaining of manipulation and reporting it and asking the BOD's etc.
90% of the time this goes nowhere.
The BOD's are usually aware of it and don't have much power to stop it. (from what I have seen).

Yes, it is market manipulation, but unfortunately there is a lot of it that goes on in the ASX.
Especially with speculative small and micro cap stocks.
