I've just made an offer to my 2 kidults - whom recently asked me how they can get a start in the market. Apart from buzz words like "diversify" and "ETF" and "risk" etc etc I've given them their first no-brainer.

Take $5k, setup your own trading account and buy AVZ. By the time you want the money or just want to sell out, you hold onto any profits and pay any taxes. If the price is below what you bought at, I'll cover your loss.

If it ends up where I feel it will, I'll be Dad of the Year, and the next and the next .. .. If it fails, then I've taught them not to rely on the advice of others...
