You only have the look at the buy and sell side at the time of the transaction, there wasn't 3m shares on offer and there wasn't 3m looking to buy, the transaction on both sides came in over the top of the current buy/sell numbers. The buy/sell volume on offer has been relevantly stable/similar since completion of the morning auction. (and it reverted back to the same numbers post transaction)

Anyway, that's my take on what happened, happy to be advised otherwise, yet I was watching the buy/sell sides at the time of the transaction, it was simultaneous.
