1. On the participation of the DRC in COP 26In anticipation of the COP 26 which will be held in Glasgow next November, the President of the Republic recalled the central role of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the fight against climate change and the energy transition.These meetings are therefore an exceptional opportunity for our country, one of those who propose solutions to the problem of global warming, to highlight its resources and negotiate compensation for them.The Energy Transition is listed as one of the main themes that will shape the future global socio-economic issues in the industrial sectors, particularly in the energy sector, automotive manufacturing and mining production.

2. The objective of the energy transition, by 2035, is to drastically reduce the consumption of fossil fuels in favor of other less polluting and more environmentally friendly energy sources.At the dawn of a new industrial revolution that will be supported in large part by mineral reserves such as cobalt, lithium and niobium, of which our country has enough to change the modern world, the debate on the energy transition should be launched in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to direct government action towards supporting and stimulating an economy other than the traditional industrial sectors operating in our country.The President of the Republic has invited the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, the Minister of State, Minister of Planning, the Minister of Industry, the Minister of Hydraulic Resources and Electricity and the Minister of Mines to instruct the Administrations and structures under their supervision to reflect on these future challenges and to progressively propose new management approaches and public policies that will allow the Democratic Republic of Congo to be one of the strategic actors of this future industrial revolution.
