CATL are by far the largest battery maker,
CATL supply or will supply to more or less every EV maker,
At the moment, without CATL the future supply of EV batteries would be in disarray.
Having the largest EV battery maker on board is a master-stroke by AVZ management.
Another master-stroke is Nigel purchasing an extra 10% of the project some 12 months ago for $15.5mill, to take AVZ holdings to 75%.
Twelve months later, he sells 24% of the project (leaving us now with 51%) for $240mill!
All this knowing in a pre arranged agreement with the DRC government, he will be able to purchase anther 15% (price unknown) bringing back AVZ'S holding to 66%.
NOT A BAD DEAL!
IMO, NF & his team are doing a tremendous job. Great things don't happen overnight, and sometimes take a few years to come to fruition. But now we are starting to smell the fruits!
