to me it just sounded like Pei was really pushing for the 10mpta option, and so was i was trying to consider what this influence would be mean for the required financing process given Mr 'Timelines' NF keeps insisting a Q4 FID.

anyway I'm with you on desiring to avoid an overextension, especially as historically that's a strategy drawn directly from PRC asset control playbook #1

to my mind it would be good to carry out a staged project, presenting first the existing, detailed BFS designed for the 4.5 mpta plant, fund that, and then later expand on this in a stage 2 program build after the kinks are worked out, transport is improved or local usage sorted, and cashflow in play. But I'm not a process and technical design engineer so I'm not really qualified to comment
