I think the Wikipedia writer's point was that once you allow for productivity differences costs are high.

I did post to will take 50 years to mine the deposit. Maybe 100 years if the exploration target of 1B tonnes gets proven up and mining @10mtpa. Depends on how fast it can be mined/processed/transported and end market demand. I didn't mean 50 years to start mining.
