Electricity is a complex beast and it is way too late on Sunday night to try to start to explain it to you. The company i work for has a $40M bill, my portfolio is only $3M and we are seen as small fry, but renewable energy options are actually becoming cheaper through PPAs, if you want to know more happy to explain.
