Now unfortunately for these unticketed folk the train passed several trains going the other way in the fog this morning , along with several low hanging trees then a went through a rather narrow and unexpected tunnel.

As a result we seem to have shed many of these carriage hoppers now making the train theoretically lighter and more streamlined which is a good thing as we have some rather steep track to negotiate on the horizon as we navigate to the Himalayan foothills.

Now I'm not getting off the train as I have 1st class ticket and window seat. I know that, I should step off said train and on to the platform even for a minute it could pull away from the station unexpectedly, at any time, leaving me behind and therefore I will not get to go all the way on my trip of a lifetime and see the and experience mountains peaks.

So I sit and read HC/Twitter with a wry smile on my face waiting for the train to pull away from the station once more. In my opinion its always better to get on the train early at your leisure when the platform is not busy and get a good seat rather than to fight your way through the crowd at peak times and get a much riskier ride.
