It's an interesting place Australia finds itself in.
Glasgow may have been a damp squib in terms of emissions reduction and Oz and a few other naughty boys may have kicked the can but reality shines through.
Underneath, the Federal Government knows this and is not pushing back against the States' green policies, disjointed though they are.
The world is moving on and like a seasoned gambler, Morrison is hedging both sides.
BS policies around CCS, gas and coal etc to hold those important marginal seats whilst slowly turning green at a slow enough pace to not quite look hypocritical.
As lying is the new normal he may just pull it off.
if LNP win the next election, I think they'll shaft those coal seats pronto, not just to try and regain some climate credibility internationally, but also because most of the coal will become too expensive to produce.
Remember renewables continue to fall in price.
The need for lithium will continue to rise in tandem.
So will the price.
