#RDC : Rich in lithium, manganese, nickel and cobalt, the Democratic Republic of the Congo wants to locally produce batteries for electric vehicles and develop a “green” value chain, explains its Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku.
“Make the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) a champion of electric cars. This is the ambition displayed at the DRC-Africa Business Forum which was held from November 24 to 25 in Kinshasa.
At the end of this event, the Congolese executive, headed by Félix Tshisekedi, made several commitments with various technical and financial partners, namely the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the African Development Bank (ADB ), the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank), Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (Badea) and the Australian mining group AVZ Minerals.”
